Terms of Use
These Terms of Use form a legal agreement between you and Apply Copilot. They govern your access to and use of our website, browser extension, and related services. Please read them carefully — by creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms.
Effective date: May 6, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are entered into between you ("you" or "User") and the operator of Apply Copilot ("Apply Copilot", "we", "us", or "our"). By registering for an account, accessing the Service, or clicking a button or checking a box indicating acceptance, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country to enter into a binding contract) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement, that you have full legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law or any agreement to which you are a party.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms, and references to "you" include both you and that organization.
3. Your account
To use most features of the Service you must create an account. You agree to:
- provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it up to date;
- maintain the security of your password and any other authentication credentials, and keep them confidential;
- notify us promptly at support@apply-copilot.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account; and
- accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, except to the extent caused by our breach of these Terms.
4. Description of the Service
Apply Copilot helps job seekers prepare and submit job applications. Core features include:
- generating an "Adaptive CV" tailored to a specific job listing,
- generating cover letters and answers to screener questions, and
- submitting applications to third-party job platforms on your authorization ("Auto Apply").
Features, limits, and supported integrations may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue any feature at any time, and will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that adversely affect a paid plan you are subscribed to.
5. User content
"User Content" means everything you provide to the Service, including your CV, profile data, employment history, screener answers, prompts, edits, and any other content you upload or input. You retain all rights you have in your User Content.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, display, modify, and process your User Content solely as necessary to (i) operate, secure, and improve the Service for you, (ii) generate outputs at your direction, and (iii) submit applications you authorize. This license ends when you delete the relevant User Content, except where retention is required for backups, legal compliance, or defense of legal claims.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to provide it and to authorize the actions described above, and that the content does not infringe any third-party right or violate any law.
6. Generated content
The Service uses artificial-intelligence models to generate CVs, cover letters, and answers ("Generated Content"). Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we assign to you the rights we have, if any, in the specific Generated Content produced for you, so you may use it for your job-search purposes.
Generated Content is created by automated systems and may contain errors, omissions, or content that is not appropriate for a particular role. You are responsible for reviewing all Generated Content before submitting it to an employer or third-party platform. The Service is a tool to assist you; it does not guarantee an interview, an offer, or any specific job-search outcome.
7. Auto Apply and third-party platforms
When you use Auto Apply, you instruct us to submit application materials, on your behalf, to third-party job platforms, applicant tracking systems, or employer career sites ("Job Platforms"). By using Auto Apply, you:
- authorize us to act as your agent for the limited purpose of submitting the applications you select;
- confirm that the information submitted is accurate and not misleading;
- confirm that automated submission of your applications does not violate any agreement you have with a Job Platform; and
- accept that, once submitted, your application is governed by the terms and privacy policies of the relevant Job Platform.
Job Platforms may rate-limit, block, or change the way they accept applications at any time, which may affect Auto Apply. We do not control Job Platforms and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or decisions.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to apply to roles using identities, credentials, or qualifications that are not your own, or to submit false or misleading information to an employer;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks, or attempt to bypass any rate limit, security mechanism, or authentication system;
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of it, except to the extent expressly permitted by law;
- scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk, or use the Service to develop a competing product;
- use the Service to send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited communications, or to upload malicious code;
- violate the terms of service of any Job Platform with which the Service interacts on your behalf; or
- use the Service for any purpose that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, or that violates the rights of others.
9. Subscriptions, fees, and payments
Some features of the Service are offered on a paid basis. Pricing, included usage, and billing cadence are presented at checkout. Unless stated otherwise:
- fees are charged in advance for each billing period and are non-refundable except where required by law;
- paid plans renew automatically at the then-current rate until you cancel; you can cancel at any time from your account settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period;
- you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for all fees, taxes, and other amounts due; and
- if a payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade your access until payment is received.
We may change prices for future billing periods on reasonable notice. If you do not accept the change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
10. Free trials and promotions
From time to time we may offer free trials, credits, or promotional pricing. Specific terms (such as duration and eligibility) will be presented at sign-up and form part of these Terms. If you do not cancel before a free trial ends, the paid plan begins automatically at the disclosed rate.
11. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and templates, is owned by Apply Copilot or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial job-search purposes. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
You may not use our trademarks, name, or branding without our prior written consent, except as part of customary, fair attribution.
12. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about the Service, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose, without obligation to you.
13. Privacy
Our processing of personal data in connection with the Service is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read it.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if your use creates a risk or possible legal exposure for us or another user, or if we are required to do so by law. Where practicable, we will use reasonable efforts to give you advance notice and an opportunity to cure.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability — will survive.
15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or always available, that defects will be corrected, or that any specific result — including job interviews, offers, or hires — will be achieved through your use of the Service.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Apply Copilot, its affiliates, or its licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (i) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the liability and (ii) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Apply Copilot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to (i) your User Content, (ii) your use of the Service, (iii) your violation of these Terms, or (iv) your violation of any law or third-party right, including the terms of any Job Platform.
18. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you, for example by email or through the Service, before they take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of these Terms indicates when they were last revised. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the changes, your remedy is to stop using the Service and, if applicable, cancel your subscription.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Apply Copilot is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except that, where you are a consumer, you retain the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
Before filing a formal complaint, you agree to first contact us at legal@apply-copilot.com and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
20. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order form for a paid plan, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
- Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Force majeure: we are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Notices: we may give notices through the Service or to the email address associated with your account.
